Estrella Bengio

Speaker

Estrella Bengio has a Degree in Pharmacy and a Master in Nutrition. She has been working in Abbott 30 years in the Regulatory Affairs Department handling Nutritional products for infants and adults, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

Estrella is Member of SNE, Specialized Nutrition Europe, Operational Board representing Medical Nutrition and she is a very active member of the Medical Nutrition International Industry working on the Food for Special Medical Purposes regulatory framework.

Cathy Bushell

Speaker

Cathy Bushell has a Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has worked as a clinical Dietitian prior to moving to the Medical Nutrition industry where she has worked for 20 years both within Research and Development and Regulatory Affairs within the Food for Special Medical Purposes category.

Cathy is the current Chair of the SNE working group for FSMP at Specialized Nutrition Europe (SNE) and, as part of that role, collaborates very closely with the Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI) group on the Food for Special Medical Purposes regulatory framework.

Valérie Carot

Speaker

Valerie started her carrier in a medical devices company working on clinical studies, CE marking of implants and quality after a PhD in biology. Since then she has worked with Nutricia on quality and regulation of Food Supplements, Infant Nutrition, medical device and FSMPs. She is now Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager and pilots the Clinical Nutrition Regulatory working group of SFNS.

Elodie Sebag

Speaker

Elodie holds a master's degree in economic law. After 2 years in the food industry as regulatory affairs manager, Elodie has integrated the French federation for specialised nutrition in 2005, where she now holds the position of Director of Legal and Economic Affairs.Secretary General of clinical nutrition sector since February 2013, she coordinates the actions decided by companies and represents them with public authorities.

Rolf Smeets

Moderator

Member of the MNI EU FSMP WG. Rolf Smeets is Chief Medical Officer at Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences and did a MBA at the University of Groningen. After a carreer in R&D working on Medical nutrition, Infant nutrition, Supplements and Functional foods, he is now responsible for Medical Affairs, Public affairs, Regulatory affairs and Market access.
