First Executive Director Appointed for the Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI)

Brussels, 4 September 2014 – The Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI), established in 2005 and representing a global health care sector aiming to optimize patient outcome, has appointed its first Executive Director, Mrs Léa Coulet.

Among its key goals, MNI helps raise awareness on nutritional intervention to improve patient outcomes and promotes access to nutritional intervention for those who need it across care settings. 

Mrs. Coulet, a French citizen, has 11 years of public affairs experience gained in the fields of public health and health prevention, pharmaceuticals, global health and health technology. She joins the MNI from COCIR, the trade association for the medical technology industry. Mrs. Coulet also has a strong acumen in trade association management and European affairs and has been based in Brussels since 2003.

Michel Gardet, President of MNI, and Head of Nestlé Health Science’s Medical Nutrition Business, said: “Léa Coulet has joined us at a crucial time as we take forward our activities to ensure that medical nutrition is better recognised as a key enabler to deliver health benefits and health economic value.”
